Data Analysis:
  • We have recently completed our PD data collection. Now we are in need of researchers to help analyze data.
    • languages: Python (h5py package)
    • software: custom written software by Dr. Boeglin, HDF View
Programming:
  • We need to develop a code to change our data output file format to be uploaded to our collaborators' database. These data files will contain signals, voltage values, which represent particles created in the plasma that have deposted their energy into our detectors.
    • languages: Python (h5py package), IDL, you also have the option to use C++ or Fortran
    • file format types: HWS, HDF, NetCDF (Network Common Data Form)
Hardware:
  • Updates to current high vacuum system (see vacuum hardware below)
