Here are the notes from the Frist Meeting of FIU student Chapter of American Vacuum Society on Nov 9, 4pm. During the meeting we nominated and voted for the officers of the Club.

The result are: Chair: Ramona V Perez
Vice Chair: Yuehai Yang
Secretary: Bichen Zou
Treasure: Stefano Murcia
Executive Committee Members: Suman Neupane, Jason Bono
Publicity Committee Chair: Ricardo Leante
Academic Advisor: Dr. Jin He, Dr. Lei Guo, or another professor from engineering department will be contacted by Ricardo Leante

During the next meeting, we will vote on the Program Committee Chair and Membership Committee Chair

In December, we will invite a guest speaker from the FIU career services center to give us a presentation about Resume and CV writing. The specific date and time will be voted by the Doodle Survey.

Members should join AVS membership online, which would cost you $35 for students (and you may get $10 rebate). You will need a letter from your advisor verifying that you are a student at FIU (we will email you a letter you can print out to fill in your name and advisor's name, please give the letter to me, the Secretary). Please choose Florida as your first affiliation and select no for the responding to the JSVT waiver
