2. January event: Resume Lunch/ Breakfast
   1. Description
      • We bring our lunches/ snacks and resume/CV to give each other advice, constructive criticism, help make corrections, or even write your first draft

   • We voted to have the Resume/ CV Breakfast next week Wednesday (January 23rd) at 10AM, location TBA
3. Vote on February event:
   1. Attend 'Interview Skills' Workshop by FIU Career Services

   2. Attend 'Conference Presentation Skills' Workshop by FIU Career Services
      • TUES 4PM, February 19
   • We voted to attend the Interview Skills Workshop as a group on Wednesday, February 20th, at 12pm

   • Not enough availability/ interest for March Regional AVS Conference, will vote on International Conference attendance in May
   • Any individual AVS members interested in presenting at/attending the March conference, please email Ramona or Yuehai regarding sources of funding for poster printing and travel
5. AVS-sponsored Graduate Research Awards (for AVS student members)
   • 8 finalists attend AVS International Symposium to compete for top prizes
   • Cash award, a certificate, and reimbursed travel support to attend the International Symposium
   • Approximately ten awards are given annually

6. Find volunteer to secure guest speaker for next event (on topic in accordance with the mission of an AVS student chapter)

• Will has volunteered to secure guest speaker Dr. Lei Guo for March: 'How to find post-doctoral and research staff/ professor jobs in academia'
• Ricardo has volunteered to try to secure a guest speaker for April
• A mock intereview event has been requested for March or April
• Doodle survey will be sent out in the first week of February for February General Meeting
